Plate Count Agar Plate

Recommended for the determination of plate counts of microorganisms in food, water, waste water samples.

Range	Microbiology
Composition	Formula per liter of medium: Tryptone 5 gm.; Yeast Extract 2.5 gm.; Dextrose 1 gm.; Agar 15 gm.; Final pH 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Directions	Either streak, inoculate or surface spread the test inoculum (50-100 CFU) aseptically on the plate.
Storage	BioScien Plant Count Agar plates should be stored on receipt between 20-30°C. Use before expiry date on the label. Product performance is best if used within stated expiry period.
Appearance	The color of BioScien Plate Count Agar Plate Light amber coloured medium. If there are any physical changes or signs of deterioration (shrinking, cracking, or discoloration), and contaminations for hydrated media, discard the medium.
