Selective and differential medium for the isolation of Salmonella and Shigella species from clinical specimens and suspected food.

| Preparation | Add 63 gm to 1 liter of distilled water. Adjust pH to 7.0 ± 0.2 at 25 °C. Boil with frequent agitation to dissolve the medium completely. DO NOT AUTOCLAVE OR OVERHEAT. |
| Storage | After opening the seal, keep tightly closed using the supplied plastic plug. Keep dry, tightly closed and away from direct light. Storage temperature on the label: 10 °C to 30 °C. |
